S&P/TSX composite falls, U.S. markets also down as oil tops US$100 per barrel
TORONTO — Canada's main stock index fell 400 points on Thursday, while U.S. markets also lost ground and the price of oil topped US$100 per barrel. The October crude oil contract was up US$6.43 at US$102.48 per barrel.

Oil prices leap back to their highest since May and drag Wall Street lower
NEW YORK (AP) — U.S. stocks sank after oil prices jumped back to where they were in May. The S&P 500 fell 0.6% Thursday, its fourth straight loss. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 0.6%, and the Nasdaq composite sank 0.7%.
