Carney says he and Trump agreed to ramp up trade talks after latest tariff threat
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Mark Carney said he spoke with President Donald Trump Tuesday morning and they agreed to intensify trade negotiations after the U.S. administration announced it would hammer some Canadian products with steep new tariffs.
